Who we are

KnockFirst ("we") provides email alerts about publicly available planning decisions to trade subscribers. KnockFirst is operated by [COMPANY NAME / SOLE TRADER NAME], [ADDRESS]. Contact: contact@knockfirst.co.uk.

What we collect and why

• Account details: your name, email, postcode, travel radius and trade, so we can send you relevant digests. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
• Payment details: handled entirely by our payment processor (Stripe); we never see or store your card number.
• Email engagement: basic delivery and open information from our email provider, to know the service is working. Lawful basis: legitimate interest.

Planning register data

The content of our digests comes from public council planning registers. Where a planning record contains personal data (such as an applicant's address), we process it only to describe the public planning decision, as published by the council. We do not sell applicant contact details, and we do not contact applicants ourselves.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or share your details with third parties for marketing.
• We don't send you anything other than your digests and essential service emails.

Retention

We keep your account data while you're subscribed and for up to 12 months after cancellation (for accounting and in case you return), then delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing contact@knockfirst.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).

Processors we use
